We teach people in the Atlanta, Georgia area to dive, we operate a dive charter boat, El Tortuga, out of Panama City, Florida and we arrange dive travel events including an annual trip to Cozumel Mexico. You can rely on us for professional training and unbiased recommendations. 

Bill Hamilton is a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and a licensed US Coast Guard Captain who first learned to dive 40 years ago in the Mediterranean Sea.

In addition to going to Cozumel as often as possible, he enjoys teaching SCUBA, and exploring the Gulf of Mexico in El Tortuga, our dive boat and makes OceanRay Custom Wetsuits.  E-mail Bill

 

Larry Winn has been diving for 25 years, he too is a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer and is a frequent traveler to Cozumel and has experience in traveling and diving in most of the popular Caribbean sites.

Mike Carvalho is a PADI Divemaster with 25 years of diving experience. . Mike lives in Atlanta and continues to dive from his own sailboat in the waters around Boston. He is avid underwater hunter, our seafood chef, and frequently serves as Divemaster and mate on El Tortuga in addition to assisting with classes.
Text Box: Why Dive with Us? As an instruction team we probably have more diving experience than anyone teaching in the Atlanta area. Bill and Larry are PADI certified Master Scuba Diver Trainers, Bill holds a USCG OUPV Captains License and Mike is a PADI Professional Divemaster. We can offer virtually any training you might be interested in from Discover SCUBA diving through Divemaster, as well as Emergency First Responder and over a dozen diving specialty certifications. First and foremost we want you to have a fun, safe diving experience. Since we actively work with new divers we have not forgotten what it is like to be a beginning diver. You can tailor your dive training to meet your schedule and learning style. If you want to organize a small or large group of friends or if you want private instruction we can do that. Based on your learning preferences you can study on your own with a minimum of classroom time or you can elect to be tutored at every step. Our focus is on producing safe, competent, independent divers. We don't cut your training experience short or teach to the minimal acceptable standards. We want every diver to get their personal best from their dive training. We know flexibility is important to your busy schedule and we can accommodate your needs. For your open water training we can arrange a convenient weekend trip to Panama City, where we control every aspect of your training experience. We are the only instructors in Atlanta who operate our own dive charter boat. For private lessons, we can arrange lake and quarry sites closer to Atlanta or trips to more exotic locations of your choosing. We have held open water certifications in Panama City, Key Largo, Harbor Island in the Bahamas, and of course our personal favorite, Cozumel. You are always invited to vacation with us! We have made sixteen trips to Cozumel, Mexico, so we can help you make the most of your diving and surface intervals on our favorite island. This is vacation but you can always take advanced training and dive new conditions under our watchful eye.
